Happy to not be published – this time!

I’ve just received an email from an e-zine, Wordswithjam (http://www.wordswithjam.co.uk ), to confirm two stories I’d submitted have been selected to be included in their Christmas anthology.

The downside is I won’t get a publishing credit, it won’t make me any money, it won’t be available to buy online and won’t appear on shop shelves anywhere. But, looking on the bright side, at least I’ll get to see two stories I’ve written in actual print, plus I can still add this to my writing CV!

So, sorry friends and relatives, you know in advance what your Christmas present is going to be this year!

Halfway There!

I’ve just realised I’m over halfway through revising my book. This realisation has lifted my spirits and finally I feel I’m getting somewhere.  At last I can see light at the end of the tunnel, and believe you me, there’s been a lot of fumbling about in the dark.

By the end of this month, all being well, I aim to have a pretty good second draft of my book. Of course, there will still be some tweaking to do but the main graft will have been done and then I can really say – I’ve written my first book!
